The American Heart Association this week issued a statement verifying the risks of excessive sodium in our diet.  They along with leading scientist are debunking myths surrounding sodium and salt and the health impacts.  The scientist still believe that excessive sodium in our diets leads to high blood pressure and ultimately heart disease.  Heart disease impacts seniors more than any other group.  The good news is that understanding sodium and knowing the right amount for each of us can improve our health.
